My name is Alary, and I am so excited to be sharing the joys of
becoming familiar with the Latin language and the treasure of
Greco-Roman classical influences on our western civilization
with our students this year! I have had the pleasure of working
with Elizabeth and Anna whilst living in Maui several years ago,
and it is an honor to be engaging once again their students in
what I believe will be a significant cornerstone for the
foundations of their educational and life knowledge.
Here are some of the topics we will be covering in our class:
derivatives and root words of the English language from Latin, Roman and (some) Greek history, their Mythology, Religion, Culture, Infrastructure, and Politics, with an emphasis on their
influences on our own modern civilization.

As a naturopathic doctor, I utilize the laws of nature in assessing health—mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy educating individuals on how to live a more nature-inspired life, and guiding them towards ease, not dis-ease. My philosophy: We are self-healing, self-regulating beings that are in constant adaptation to our internal and external environment; therefore, it is crucial that we understand the factors that are influencing our health so that we may be better equipped to handle stressors and improve our overall vitality! Building a healthy lifestyle isn’t done overnight—it is made one choice at a time with grace and patience. Learning what nature has to offer our body and recognizing how our body responds to nature is essential to our health & healing. When I am not helping clients, I enjoy working with my husband on our farm, gardening, camping, and capturing sunrises & sunsets. As a former Division 1 and Olympic Development Program soccer player, you can also find me on the pitch coaching high school soccer in the spring.
